EPASS Mobile Technician Installation

This document assumes that the computer uses a 64-Bit Operating System.

In the updates folder on the server (\YOURSERVER\Updates) look for the folder named Mobile tech or EPASS Mobile tech install. Inside there are 3 files.

  • Run CRRuntime_32bit_13_0_1 and select all the default options
  • Run dotNetFx40_Full_setup (If the computer is windows 8 you can skip the dotNetFx40 setup as windows 8 already has it installed; if unsure, run it and select the repair option)
  • Run EPASS Mobile Technician Installation
    • On the second screen, change the install folder to C:\ePass Mobile Tech

    • Install for EVERYONE not “only me"

Go to the EPASS Mobile Tech folder on the Computer

In the EPASS Mobile Tech folder right click on the Mobile Tech application and create 2 shortcuts on the desktop.

Rename the two Mobile Technician shortcuts to 'INSIDE' and 'OUTSIDE'

Right click on the INSIDE icon and select properties; fill in the target line:

"C:\EPASS Mobile Tech\EPASS Mobile Technician.exe" COMPANY1 InternalServerIP

The internal server IP is the IP address used to communicate with the server from within the network.

Right click on the OUTSIDE icon and select properties; fill in the target line:

"C:\EPASS Mobile Tech\EPASS Mobile Technician.exe" COMPANY1 ExternalServerIP

The external server IP is the IP address used to access the server from outside the network

Internal IP – (192.168.1.1230) External IP - server.companyname.com

Install cache

  • Install Caché 2016 or 2011, follow the instructions

Sign in

Open the INSIDE mobile tech shortcut

Sign in using your own credentials

Once signed in and the sync has finished you are done

Pin pad setup

File > Configuration > Select Branch > Select Pin Pad
